ASC People is recruiting for an experienced Site Superintendent / Site Quality Control Manager to join a respected construction firm serving the Mid-Atlantic region. This full-time, on-site leadership position is ideal for an experienced construction professional who enjoys leading field operations, coordinating subcontractors, maintaining quality standards, and delivering successful commercial and government construction projects.
The successful candidate will oversee daily jobsite operations while working closely with project managers, field personnel, subcontractors, inspectors, and clients to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with contract specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily construction site operations and field activities.
- Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, suppliers, and field personnel.
- Monitor project schedules and maintain progress toward project milestones.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, company safety policies, and jobsite safety standards.
- Review construction drawings, blueprints, specifications, and project documents.
- Conduct routine site inspections and monitor construction quality.
- Identify and resolve field issues while communicating updates to project management.
- Maintain professional relationships with clients, inspectors, architects, engineers, and project stakeholders.
- Support quality control documentation and reporting throughout each phase of construction.
Qualifications
- Proven experience supervising commercial or government construction projects.
- Strong leadership, scheduling, and project coordination skills.
- Experience managing subcontractors and daily construction site operations.
- Knowledge of construction safety regulations and industry best practices.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced construction environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional technical education is a plus.
- Valid driver’s license required; OSHA certification preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience serving as a Quality Control Manager on commercial or government construction projects.
- Ability to obtain or complete the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Construction Quality Management for Contractors (CQM-C) certification.
- Experience with federal, municipal, or public construction projects.
