ASC People is recruiting for an experienced Electrical Engineer (Professional Engineer) to join an innovative engineering consulting firm specializing in sustainable infrastructure, renewable energy, utility systems, and resilient electrical design. This role offers the opportunity to work on multidisciplinary engineering projects involving renewable energy integration, electrical power distribution, utility infrastructure, microgrids, and resilient facility design. Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop sustainable electrical, utility, and energy infrastructure systems.
- Prepare engineering designs for electrical distribution, power systems, and facility infrastructure.
- Support renewable energy integration including solar, battery energy storage, microgrids, and distributed energy resources.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams throughout project planning and design.
- Perform engineering analysis related to energy efficiency, resiliency, and lifecycle cost optimization.
- Coordinate with utility providers on interconnections, service upgrades, and electrical infrastructure.
- Develop technical reports, engineering calculations, specifications, and client presentations.
- Ensure compliance with applicable engineering standards, environmental regulations, and industry best practices.
- Support engineering projects from concept through construction and commissioning.
Required Qualifications
- Current Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
- Professional Engineer licensure in California, Pennsylvania, Florida, or Texas is preferred.
- Ability to travel approximately 20–30% as project requirements dictate.
- Strong understanding of electrical engineering principles and utility infrastructure.
- Experience working on multidisciplinary engineering projects.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and technical writing skills.
Preferred Technical Experience
- Electrical power distribution and utility infrastructure design.
- Renewable energy systems including Solar PV, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), and Microgrids.
- Grid modernization and resilient electrical infrastructure.
- Emergency and standby power systems.
- High-performance building systems and energy-efficient facility design.
- HVAC, chilled water, boiler, pumping, and utility systems.
- Energy modeling, sustainability analysis, and lifecycle cost evaluations.
- Knowledge of ESG initiatives, emissions reduction strategies, and environmental compliance.
- Experience using AutoCAD, Revit, BIM, or other engineering design software.
