Key Responsibilities
- Perform shop inspections for bridge and structural steel fabrication projects.
- Conduct Level II Non-Destructive Testing including Liquid Penetrant (PT), Magnetic Particle (MT), Ultrasonic Testing (UT), and Visual Testing (VT).
- Prepare detailed inspection reports using standardized documentation procedures.
- Ensure quality assurance standards are maintained throughout fabrication and inspection processes.
- Promote a safe work environment by identifying hazards and following all safety procedures.
- Maintain assigned inspection equipment and ensure proper calibration and care.
- Collaborate with experienced inspection professionals to support knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
- Maintain required certifications and stay current with industry codes, standards, and technologies.
- Communicate professionally with customers and identify opportunities to provide additional inspection services.
- Travel to customer locations as required to perform inspections.
Qualifications
- Current AWS Certified Weld Inspector (CWI) certification is required.
- Current ASNT Level II certification in one or more NDT methods including PT, MT, UT, and/or VT.
- Experience performing Non-Destructive Examination (NDE) and quality assurance inspections.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to produce accurate technical reports.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
- Proactive problem-solving skills and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Willingness to travel based on customer project requirements.
- Ability to successfully complete pre-employment drug screening and criminal background check.
